D.W. Fearn VPF Rack Panel
€249.00*
We have always recommended that you provide at least one rack unit (RU) of space above and below our products. This is especially important for the more complex products like the VT-7 Compressor and the VT-5 Stereo Equalizer, which have many tubes and may generate considerable heat while operating.
We have designed a 1.75 inch (1RU) ventilated rack panel that is coated with the same high-gloss polyurethane paint we use on all our products. The rack panel has a small D.W. Fearn logo and vacuum tube icon in the same gold that we use on the products.
These panels are made of .25 inch laser-cut and milled aluminum.
D.W. Fearn VT-2
€6,759.00*
In designing the VT Series of Microphone Preamplifiers, no compromise in sonic quality, reliability, or ruggedness was permitted. Like the best tube equipment of the 1950s and ’60s, each VT preamp is hand-built on a heavy-gauge aluminum chassis, utilizing point-to-point wiring. Additionally,Each and every vacuum tube is selected for minimum noise and microphonics, and to deliver maximum sonic clarity. The front panel switches control sealed, gold-contact precision relays for all audio switching, totally eliminating the possibility of dirty contacts degrading the sound quality while minimizing the internal audio path. Four class-A triode amplifier sections (in two tubes) in each channel comprise the entire active circuit.
This elegantly simple circuit, expertly executed with top-quality components and careful design optimization, provides the sonic superiority that the VT-Series preamps have become known for.
The VT-2 Preamplifier also features an integrated, switchable 43 dB pad, enabling it to be patched into the Master Bus at line level during mixdown and mastering to provide the unique D.W. Fearn sonic signature to the final product.
D.W. Fearn VT-5
€12,489.00*
D.W. Fearn VT-5 Stereo Vacuum Tube Equalizer
The VT-5 Vacuum Tube Equalizer will change the way you think of EQ. It is smooth, sweet and very subtle at mild settings, but can also be aggressive when needed. Creative use of the low boost and cut will create a powerful bass that must be heard to be believed. The high boost adds just the right brightness or sparkle to vocals, guitars, keyboards, percussion, strings…you get it. Equally suited for gentle tone contouring as well as extreme sound sculpting, the VT-5 lets your music shine through with no harsh artifacts.
D.W. Fearn VT-7
€10,189.00*
D.W. Fearn VT-7 Stereo/Dual Mono Vacuum Tube Mastering/Mix Bus Compressor
Ideal for tracking, mixing and mastering, the VT-7 features an all Class-A vacuum tube audio path, like all D.W. Fearn products. The gain reduction elements utilize circuitry that duplicates the sound and characteristics of the finest classic vacuum tube compressors, without depending on esoteric tubes that are no longer manufactured, while the Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) control circuitry is modern solid-state analog.
