The SSL UC1 is a unique hardware plug-in controller designed for SSL plug-ins and, starting from SSL 360° software version 1.7, also compatible with all third-party plug-ins in VST3 format. Its intuitive console-style layout provides high-quality knobs and switches for a smooth and efficient workflow, transforming plug-in control into a truly creative experience.
The standout feature of the UC1 is the authentic “moving coil” VU meter, which displays the gain reduction of the Bus Compressor 2 plug-in. This allows you to monitor one of the most critical dynamics parameters at all times. Additionally, a wide range of LEDs provide clear visual feedback on levels, control positions, and switch states—just like on a real mixing console.
The UC1 integrates seamlessly with the SSL 360° Plug-in Mixer, giving you a centralized environment to view and control all your SSL 360°-enabled plug-ins, including channel strips, bus compressors, and more. This mixer provides an efficient way to manage multiple plug-ins simultaneously, bridging the gap between traditional console workflows and modern in-the-box production.
Alongside a range of perpetual SSL licenses and a 6-month trial of “SSL Complete” (covering all SSL plug-ins), the free SSL 360° software introduces a groundbreaking feature: control of third-party plug-ins via the UC1. Using the “SSL 360 Link Plug-In,” you can easily map your favorite plug-ins to the UC1’s controls, with features like drag & drop and click & turn simplifying the setup process.
