The new LP-8 studio monitor is part of Kali's 2nd Wave speaker series. The models in this new edition, dubbed the " 2nd Wave ," are the result of three years of research and development and have been improved across the board. A new amplifier module delivers 12 dB less self-noise, while input sensitivity has been increased by 3 dB. Tuning has been refined for smoother high-frequency response, and the boundary EQs have been updated for common practical applications. A new preset for positioning the speakers on desktop stands is also included. Other improvements include lighter transducer diaphragms for better transient response and improved cabinet construction for greater reliability. Tried-and-tested, unique features such as waveguide technology, woofers with oversized magnets, and the sophisticated bass reflex system have, of course, been retained, making the LP-8 2nd Wave studio monitor a reliable tool regardless of genre or budget.
