Thanks to its innovative Focus Full Range mode, the Solo6 effectively functions as two monitors in one. By switching to full-range operation using only the woofer, it provides an alternative listening perspective ideal for checking mix balance and translation.

The Solo6 features a new beryllium tweeter with an M-shaped protective grille and an advanced woofer with extended frequency response up to 10 kHz, specifically optimized for Focus Mode. Both drivers benefit from Focal’s patented TMD (Tuned Mass Damper) technology, reducing distortion by up to 50% in the critical 1 kHz to 3 kHz range.

The redesigned cabinet is stronger and more rigid, with additional internal bracing to minimize vibrations and distortion. These improvements result in a more detailed, nuanced, and transparent sound reproduction, allowing engineers to make highly precise decisions.

The updated Focus Mode provides a second monitoring configuration with reduced dynamics, similar to classic single-driver reference monitors. This allows engineers to stay in the sweet spot while evaluating mixes without switching speakers.
